Myken Echos of Islay

The fifth whisky from the tasting session with Myken.

This whisky initially presented a strong peaty aroma, which was quite nice. However, the taste did not convey any smokiness or peatiness. Instead, it offered a subtle, lingering finish with hints of smoke.

Interestingly, this non-peated whisky was matured in barrels previously used for Laphroaig, an Islay distillery known for its peaty character.
