This is a place for my opinions and thoughts on whisky, and the odd other drink or thing that catches my interest.

I've had a lot of whisky by now, enough to have opinions, but not nearly enough to call myself an expert. Think of me as a well-experienced beginner: plenty of drams down, still plenty to learn. Everything here is one person's honest impressions: what a dram smelled like, how it tasted, how it finished, and how much I enjoyed it. I often won't have the right words, and I'll probably get things wrong or change my mind later. That's part of the fun.

Ratings are out of ten, shown as stars, and they only reflect how much I liked something on the day, not how good it objectively is.
